3. Huntsville City Schools and US Space and Rocket Center
GOAL Advance STEM disciplines by engaging students and teachers in opportunities; investigate and develop technologies; and share facilities, capabilities and technical expertise. From developing curriculums for high school through doctoral-level education, to providing hands-on learning experiences, NCAME will be the go-to organization in the nation for additive manufacturing.
STATUS Huntsville City Schools has become the first in the nation to join Auburn University's NCAME as an education partner.

4. Goals Research & Standardization
NCAME directs and conducts research in several additive manufacturing areas of immediate importance to industry
Public-Private Partnership
NCAME currently consists of 40+ members from industry (aerospace, biomedical, defense, nuclear, and automotive sectors), government, academia, and non-profit organizations/societies)
Education and Training
NCAME aims to properly train and educate the next wave of additive manufacturing specialists, researchers, technicians, end-users, innovators, and more
National Center for Additive Manufacturing Excellence (NCAME)

5. BENEFITS
Work with Huntsville City Schools and assist them in developing safety and training measures for operation of the machines.
Offer research staff and expertise as appropriate to train students and faculty members on the proper operation of their machines.
Include Huntsville City Schools on collaborative research projects
Work jointly on real-world projects with NASA and industry partners
Provide joint partner to capture funding opportunities to sustain programs
