Mission Overview The objective of team Up, Up, and Away is to prove the possibility and efficacy of a balloon-mounted mechanism for cloud seeding Cloud seeding has never been attempted from a balloon-mounted device Could prove the feasibility and possible cost effectiveness

Mission Overview Given the ability to use enough of the correct substance for cloud seeding, a balloon-mounted mechanism will be feasible and economic Cloud seeding can lift droughts and increase precipitation. A cheaper alternative to traditional methods can reveal further opportunities

Primary Requirements Requirement 0.0: Prove the possibility and efficiency of a balloon-mounted mechanism for cloud seeding # Requirement Origin 0.0.0 Test the effectiveness and reliability of the funnel dispersing system of B.O.S.S. 0.0 0.0.1 Integrate the servos to the Arduino 0.0.2 Set the servos to disperse the salt powder in the funnels to at 20 minutes and 30 minutes, respectively. 0.0.3 Use cameras to monitor and confirm salt dispersal 0.0.4 Optimize the weight of the satellite such that the amount of salt that can be carried is maximized 0.0.5 Compare the cost and the reliability data of B.O.S.S. to other conventional cloud seeding methods 0.1.0 Integrate the digital camera and the GoPro to B.O.S.S. (charged and memory cards cleared) 0.1.2 Perform duration tests in order to ensure functionality for entire flight
