What is it? A greenstick fracture is a fracture in which the bone is partly bent but does not completely separate. It is the simplest type of fracture and is most common in children.

Treatment Various treatments include:
wearing a cast to reposition the bone (4-8 weeks) a removable splint if the bone is mostly healed X-rays are required avoid high-impact activities for another week or two occasionally physical therapy

Complications Complications vary due to age and severity of injury. They typically include: infection additional damage to the surrounding nerves, tissue, and organs for children, may affect the way the bone grows later on
