FiberCo is an LLC of Internet2 that was initially created in partnership with Level 3 Communications to put dark fiber resources in the hands of our member community
FiberCo was successful in placing over 13,000 route miles of dark fiber
FiberCo has expanded its services to a suite of services designed to assist R&E optical network operators build and maintain their networks

3. So, You want your own optical network…
As the community has taken the step towards building and operating its own optical networks, the expertise required and complexity of deployment and operations have increased.
Some members may not have the available resources to accomplish their goals in the desired timeframes
FiberCo in cooperation with corporate members now offers a number of professional services to assist members with the unique challenges of deploying and operating optical networks
