1 Joint Admission Exercise (JAE)
Students who wish to apply for admission to the following institutions may do so via the Joint Admission Exercise Junior Colleges (JCs) Millennia Institute (MI) Polytechnics Institute of Technical Education (ITE)

2 Joint Admission Exercise (JAE)
JAE registration will open from 3.00 pm on Monday, 14 January 2019 to 4.00 pm on Friday, 18 January 2019. Applicants are to submit their application online through the JAE Internet System (JAE-IS) Refer to the page (iii) of the JAE 2019 Information Booklet – Quick Guide to Registration

Computer and printing facilities will be made available at ICT Lab 2 during these periods: 14 January 2019 : 2.30pm – 4pm 15 – 18 January 2019 : 9am – 4pm

4 Joint Admission Exercise (JAE)
Eligible applicants who sat for the 2018 GCE ‘O’ Level Examination will receive Form A. Form A contains: GCE ‘O’ Level Examination results JAE PIN (personal password for the applicant to access JAE-IS) Aggregate scores Eligible Courses

5 Joint Admission Exercise (JAE)
Applicants are strongly encouraged to use the course application worksheet (provided in page (ii) of the JAE 2019 Information Booklet) before submitting their online application via the JAE-IS For more details on the JAE, applicants may refer to The JAE Website at Frequently Asked Questions at or

6 Application Results The posting results of the JAE application are scheduled for release on Thursday, 31 January 2019 through the following modes: JAE-IS, which is accessible through the JAE website SMS to the Singapore mobile number provided by the applicant during registration.

7 Direct School Admission (DSA) – JC
Students who had accepted offers through the 2018 DSA-JC Exercise will be admitted to their chosen JC if they met the eligibility criteria for admission based on their GCE O-Level examination results. Students admitted to a JC through DSA-JC will not be eligible to participate in the JAE. Students who do not meet the JC admission criteria may take part in the JAE to apply for courses which they are eligible for.

8 Early Admissions Exercise (EAE) – Polytechnics
Students who had accepted conditional offers to a polytechnic course through the EAE in 2018 and have their offers confirmed will not be eligible to participate in the JAE. EAE offers are confirmed if they have met the following criteria: Net ELR2B2 score of 26 points or better; and Minimum Entry Requirements for the respective polytechnic course. Students who do not meet the above criteria may take part in the JAE to apply for courses which they are eligible for.

9 A set of Revised/ Merged/ New Courses at the Polytechnics for JAE 2019
Students will collect the following from your form teachers: Form A Factsheet on Selecting JC/ MI/ Polytechnic/ ITE Courses (This factsheet is to be used alongside your JAE Information Booklet) A set of Revised/ Merged/ New Courses at the Polytechnics for JAE 2019 A one-pg document on Making the RIGHT Choices

10 The Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP)
Students are eligible to apply for the PFP if they have obtained a raw ELMAB3 aggregate not exceeding 12 points, and met subject-specific requirements for their chosen course.

11 The Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP)
PFP – eligible students will receive a copy of Form P Each copy of Form P contains a unique password. Students should use the respective passwords to submit their applications online via the PFP website at

12 The Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP)
Application for the PFP will open from 2.00 pm on Monday, 14 January 2019 to 4.00 pm on Friday, 18 January 2019. The PFP posting results will be released at 2.00 pm on Tuesday, 22 January 2019 through the PFP website. Students will be required to indicate whether they wish to accept, reject or appeal for a change of course by 4.00 pm on Thursday, 24 January 2019.

13 Direct-Entry-Scheme to Polytechnic (DPP)
4NA – 2018 students who are newly eligible after taking into account their O-level examination results should submit their DPP applications online via the DPP application portal at The final application phase for the DPP will open at 2.30 pm on Monday 14 January 2019 and close at 11.50 pm on Friday, 18 January 2019. The DPP posting results for the final phase will be released at 9 am on Tuesday, 22 January 2019 through the DPP application portal. Students will be required to indicate if they wish to accept or reject the DPP offer by pm on Thursday, 24 January 2019.

14 Students who have been offered a place in the DPP should report to ITE on Thursday, 24 January 2019, upon acceptance of their DPP course offer. The last day of school for Secondary 5 students who have accepted a place in the PFP will be on Friday, 25 January 2019.
