2 1. What does the term inaugurated mean?

3 Inaugurated-to be sworn into office.
Washington is sworn in on April 30th, 1789 at Federal Hall in New York.

6 Precedent-an example that becomes standard practice.
He used his cabinet for advise (heads of departments) Created the phrase Mr. President Served only two terms

7 3. Explain the Federal Judiciary Act:

8 Congress passes the Federal Judiciary Act-this act makes The Supreme Court consist of six members.

9 4. Describe the President’s cabinet and what they are responsible for:

10 Washington’s Cabinet The Constitution gives Congress the task of creating departments to help the President. The President has the power to appoint the heads of these departments. Washington use the cabinet to advise. Cabinet- The heads of the departments that assist the President. Who’s in Washington’s cabinet….

HOW BANKS WORK 1. Workers use their money to buy stuff and deposit some in the bank for savings. 2. 3. Banks pay you for the money you deposit (interest-1%) and loan your money to others at a higher interest rate (6%-8%). Businesses borrow money from the bank to create new products.
