3 Why do we write bibliographies?
To acknowledge our sources To give readers information To identify and consult our sources To make sure our information is correct

4 What if we don’t include one?
We may be accused of plagiarism! If so, we may lose all or some of our grade for the assignment, or the entire class.

5 How to Prepare a Bibliography
3 main parts: 1. author, 2. title, 3. publication information This information can be easily found on the front and back of the title page in the book.

6 How to create one There are different ways to cite your books, encyclopedia articles, online encyclopedia articles, and internet sources.

7 Book with one author: Last name, First name. The Title Underlined. Place of Publication: Publisher, Copyright date. Example: Bell, Stewart. The Martyr's Oath: The Apprenticeship of a Homegrown Terrorist.         Mississauga, ON: Wiley, 2005.

8 Practice Put the given information in correct bibliography format:

10 Encyclopedia article:
