environment that engages all students in lifelong
learning for an ever changing world.

4. Vision Statement
With the participation and support of all stakeholders, the students of Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District will:
Make a collaborative effort to promote a positive attitude
Develop characteristics that promote self sufficiency
Use technology responsibly and effectively
Develop communication and interpersonal skills

5. Shared Values Environmental Awareness Innovation
The Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District community believes that people of character consistently demonstrate and act on the following values:

6. Goals 1. The graduation rate will increase from 92% toward100%.
2. Students will achieve proficient and advanced levels
in mathematics at or above state percentage requirements.
3. Students will achieve proficient and advanced levels in reading at or above state percentage requirements.
4. Students will use technology as a tool to make informed decisions leading to high academic standards aligned with 21st century skills.

A-C Valley, in conjunction with the community, will ensure a comprehensive education in a personalized environment that prepares our students to be literate, innovative, analytical problem solvers, who become career-oriented and responsible citizens ready for the challenges of a diverse world.

A-C Valley will provide a safe, respectful, and inviting educational environment through:
Positive interaction between staff and students.
Continuous technology updates.
Academic rigor and relevance.
Appropriate student to teacher ratio necessary to allow for quality instruction.
Consistent policies of attendance and discipline in the belief that these are essential.
Academic Performance
All A-C Valley students will:
Meet high academic standards through a coordinated K-12 curriculum.
Help contribute to and maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
Ensure and respect the rights of others.
Develop a career plan and pathway to help transition to their next steps beyond high school.
All staff will:
Offer a safe and positive learning environment.
Interact positively and communicate appropriately with all students, parents and others.
Offer a comprehensive, coordinated curriculum.
Provide opportunities for extended application of learning beyond the classroom.
Provide prompt feedback to students and parents.
Make full and efficient use of instructional time.
In order to accomplish our vision, A-C Valley will:
