How do mood and tone contribute to a reader’s perception of a literary work? Mood and tone help to stir the reader’s emotions and allow the reader to connect with the content of the literature. Therefore, depending on the mood and tone, readers may question the validity of the information presented by the author as well as critically examine the author’s attitude.
