Five days after the surrender went to see a comedic play at Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C. Near the end of the play, John Wilkes Booth shot Lincoln in the head – Lincoln died the next morning Booth escaped but was found 12 days later

How should the South enter back into the Union? Should the South have equal representation in the US Government?
