On the 1st of January 1998 the FH- Diploma Programme (University of Applied Studies) Military leadership is established. During the Second World War the Castle serves as training facility for the German Wehrmacht. On 16 March 1945 the Castle is reduced to rubble, following heavy bombardments and fires.
