Approved donor funding – 30 September 2015 Kick start project – 2 November 2015 Content conversion and review into e-learning format – 31 Standards by 31 May 2016 User Acceptance Testing – 8 and 9 June 2016 Project handover – 30 June 2016 Project closeout – 31 July 2016 IMS = Inventory Management Strategy Decide whether applicable To improve the effectiveness of the Inventory management function within Departments To establish Inventory Management Units at National and Provincial Treasuries To establish Inventory Management Teams at National and Provincial Departments To provide support to Inventory Management Units and Teams within National and Provincial Departments To minimise Inventory management qualifications on annual financial statements This will be rolled out at National and Provincial Departments in all 9 Provinces, based on the following coordination principles: IMU (1) at National to coordinate and manage the initiative, by managing all the National Departments and the Provincial OAG - IMU’s; The Provincial IMU’s (9)at the OAG’s to coordinate and manage initiatives at Provincial level on a department per department basis.

3 Where are we now? Deploy onto NSG’s learning platform – Go live: 1 August 2016. Draft memo’s/circulars regarding GRAP e-learning to all GRAP- based entities. To develop the Inventory management strategy for the National IMU to implement at National and Provincial Level; To establish an Inventory Management Unit at National OAG to monitor and coordinate the IMU’s at Prov OAG’s and assist National IMT’s in the roll-out process; To develop a implementation plan with milestones, deadlines, responsibilities and interdependencies;  Regular monitoring and reporting of Inventory management progress per Province and for every National Department- i.e. Sound project management principles instilled for this initiative.
