Reading: Authors Purpose
We will learn how to identify the main purpose of a text, including what the author wants to answer, explain, or describe.
Writing
Choose a writing prompt from the March writing calendar
Spend time editing/ revising once you have finished your piece
Math: Shapes
We will learn how to identify triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, and cubes. We will also recognize and draw shapes having specified attributes, such as the given number of angles or given number of equal faces. Lastly, we will learn how to partition circles and rectangles into two, three, and four equal shares.

Writing: Personal Narratives
We will review how to write a narrative in which they recount a well-elaborated event or short sequence of events, including details to describe actions, thoughts, and feelings, using temporal words, and providing a sense of closure.

Read aloud for 20 minutes and practice determining the authors purpose of the book – answer, explain, or describe?
