My drive to work is usually quite uneventful, but today was a totally different story. I was driving on Coverdale Road, when, out of nowhere, a ruby red Cadillac jumped out in front of me. Although I thought I was driving at a snail’s pace, it was clear the car was in some distress. The loud crash rang in my ears for a few minutes afterwards. I didn’t think I was hurt too badly, but when a small crowd began to gather, and I heard concerned whispers, I wasn’t so sure. When I put my hand to my bloody head and it hurt, I was horrified. A paramedic pulled me from my Pontiac and placed me on a gurney.
