Often the lion is called the “King of the beasts” and for good reason They are the largest They are the most powerful They are the most majestic looking Lions, while sneaking up on prey are usually quiet

They roar for a variety of reasons To signal ownership To search for mate To challenge an intruder To intimidate prey When hungry

Devour means To eat up greedily or ravenously To use up or destroy as if by eating To prey upon To enjoy avidly

5 Who Needs Protection From The Lion?
Young Lions always attack the weakest of the flock, including the young (Satan has no scruples) Young need protection, nourishment, and guidance to know what is safe and what to avoid - 1 Thess 5:14; Rom 14:1-4; 15:1

6 Who Needs Protection From The Lion?
Sickly Unable to defend themselves or run away, generally because of malnutrition - Heb 5:11-14 Sickly need to be healed - Heb 12:12,13; Isa 35:3‑9; Gal 6:1

7 Who Needs Protection From The Lion?
Stragglers There is safety in numbers “away on the mountain wild and bare, away from the tender shepherd's care” Some Christians hang around on the fringes - Mk 14:54 They worship only to soothe their conscience They are lukewarm - Matt 12:30; Rev 3:15-16

Solitary Some purposefully stay away from the flock because of independence We need the association of others - Heb 10:23-25 Must try to bring back the isolated - Lk 15:4-7 (Do you need any help) no help wanted (Could you use a little help) no help wanted (Call on me if you need a little help) (Do you need any help do need any help) I can handle this job all by myself

9 How To Be Protected Don't underestimate the enemy
No sheep ever killed a lion Pride will destroy us - Prov 16:18 Humble yourselves - Matt 23:12 Place your trust in God - Psa 55:22; Matt 6:25-34

10 How To Be Protected Be sober and watchful - 1 Pet 1:13; 4:7; 1 Thess 5:1-11 Resist the devil and firm in faith - Jas 4:7; 1 Cor 15:58

11 Lion's Lunch Satan is never filled, so we must never relax our guard, or we will be His next meal!

12 God has done His part. Have you done yours?
God's Plan of Salvation GOD'S PART The great love of God for man (Jn 3:16) He gave His Son, Jesus Christ, as the Saviour (Lk 19:10) Sent the Holy Spirit as a guide (Jn 16:13) Gave the Gospel as "the power" unto salvation (Rom 1:16) Provided atonement by the blood of Christ (Rom 5:9) MAN'S PART Hear the Gospel (Rom 10:17, Jn 8:32) Believe the Gospel (Heb 11:6, Jn 20:31) Repent of past sins (Lk 13:3, Acts 17:30) Confess faith in Jesus Christ (Rom 10:10, Matt 10:32) Be Baptized (Gal 3:27, Mk 16:16, Acts 2:38) Be faithful unto death (Rev 2:10) God has done His part.
