Many believed the League of Nations would threaten isolationism

Suspicious of the provision for joint economic and military action against aggression, even though it was voluntary.

6. Wilson No compromise
Wilson gave speeches about the League, even falling ill.
Has a Stroke and unable to push treaty or the league
Senators refuse to sign Treaty of Versailles and join the League of Nations.
