Social The social classes were the nobles, the merchants, the tradesmen, and the unskilled workers. Women would cook, clean, and bear children. Men was to provide for the family. The African slave trade was starting up, which caused a lot of ethical diversity.

Political In Europe, there was feudalism, monarchies, empires, and republics. During stress and conflict was when nationalism started to show. People created complex developments of centralized rule. The first British empire was established and so was mercantilism, the decline of feudalism. They focused on trade, and globalization.

Interactions between humans and the environment
During the 17th century, Europe did a lot of migrating east to the newly founded Americas. All of this moving, sparked up a lot of diseases new ones in America and new ones in Europe, such as small pox, influenza, scarlet fever,etc. Spain and Portugal started the new settlements in the "new world" after the. The rest of Europe started to join in. The use of guns was the newest thing around in the 17th century that's how most of the land was taking in the new world was the power weapons the Europeans had.

Cultural Roman Catholicism was the major religion in 17th century Europe it was forced upon Religion in 17th century Europe caused a lot of wars, the French had wars on it, Spain had a militant Catholicism so they could conquer Muslim territory and there was a huge war called the 'thirty years war' that just about everyone was apart of. The major art style was Baroque (describes a fairly complex idiom, originating in Rome, which flowered during the period c , and which embraced painting, and sculpture as well as architecture.)

Economic 17th century Europe had an age of reformation. They went to a lot of trading, creation of money markets, and a strong development of rural industry. In the new world, they discovered silver, everyone wanted to get there hands on silver, Agricultural was the root of the economic system in these times There was a lot of population growth which fueled s growth in the economy
