Does it have a title? (Does it grab your attention?)
Is the opening line grammatically & mechanically correct?

5. Does it respond clearly to the prompt?
Does it mention “O. Henry” and “The Furnished Room”?
Does it mention “emotional weight” and “climax”?
Does it list some specific strategies and/or techniques?
In a paper no longer than two pages (using 12-point Times New Roman font and following MLA format), explain the strategies or techniques O. Henry uses in “The Furnished Room” to give emotional weight to the story’s climax.

6. Is the information appropriate?
Is the information accurate?
Does the paper have enough information to justify the thesis?

7. Offer two or three specific pieces of advice to improve the paper,
as if the writer were going to revise it and turn it in for a grade.
Return the paper to its author.
When you get your paper back, compare the comments on it to the comments I wrote on your papers for “An Episode of War” and “The Veteran.”
