All Safety Specialist and Safety Management possess Safety Certifications
All requirements will be increased, enhanced and fine-tuned with the implementation of FTA’s SMS (Safety Management System)

6. FTA AUTHORITY FTA has authority to:
Conduct inspections, audits, examinations investigations and testing of equipment facilities rolling stock and the operations of a public transit system
Set procedures for the FTA to take appropriate enforcement action, including directing the use or withholding of Federal funds and issue directives and advisories for compliance
