Objective of Subject-based banding (SBB)
This was introduced as a refinement to the streaming process to help each child realise his potential, based on his interests and strengths.

Objective of Subject-based banding (SBB)
Every child is unique. Provide the flexibility by offering the option of a combination of standard and foundation subjects, depending on strengths.

Objective of Subject-based banding (SBB)
Offering subject(s) at the foundation level enables a child to focus on building up strong fundamentals in the subjects. This will better prepare him / her to progress to secondary school.

How does Subject –Based
Banding (SBB) work? At primary 4, students sit for school-based examinations. School recommends a subject combination based on student’s performance.
