About the Odroid XU4 ODROID-XU4 is a new generation of computing device with more powerful, more energy-efficient hardware and a smaller form factor. Offering open source support, the board can run various flavors of Linux, (ie: Ubuntu, Debian, SuSE, Fedora, etc.) and Android 4.4 KitKat, 5.0 Lollipop and 7.1 Nougat. Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP) solution
The ODROID-XU4, equipped with four big cores (ARM® Cortex® -A15™ up to 2.1GHz) and four small cores (ARM® Cortex® -A7™ up to 1.4 GHz), provides improved processing capabilities while maintaining the most efficient power consumption available. With the big.LITTLE™ HMP solution, the Exynos-5422 can utilize a maximum of all eight cores to manage computationally intensive tasks.

GPIO The GPIOs are 30 pin and 12 pin headers
These GPIOs only have 1.8 vdc There are several accessory boards for use with this setup One is called the XU4 Shifter board This board converts the 30 and 12 pin GPIO to a standard 40 pin GPIO with 3 level shifting IC chips. With the slide switch, either 3.3 vdc or 5 vdc can be chosen. This board gives the Odroid XU4 the ability to use most boards that are compatible with Raspberry Pi and Arduino.

Ethernet Performance The XU4 has an on-board Gigabit Ethernet controller. Bi-directional streaming speed was measured at ~910 Mbps. iperf Server (Mbit/sec) – 915.0 iperf Client (Mbit/sec) – 911.0 iPerf is a tool for active measurements of the maximum achievable bandwidth on IP networks.
