My name is Alex and I love to play with Lego, jump on our trampoline and play with my friends at recess. I can keep up with my friends pretty well even though I am a bit wobbly. I am wobbly because I have something called A-T.

4. Alex’s Convaid and Brown Chair
A-T affects Alex’s balance and his movements that’s why he sometimes falls in the classroom and why he needs special equipment for school to give him more support when sitting and traveling long distances.

5. Alex’s iPad
A-T also affects Alex’s hands so he is not able to hold a pencil or crayons like you or me so he uses his iPad and his stamp to help him with reading and writing.

6. Alex’s Immune System
Everyone has an immune system that produces antibodies. Antibodies are like super heroes for your body they protect you from viruses and help you get better when you are sick.

7. Alex’s Immune System
Because of A-T Alex’s immune system doesn’t produce antibodies
to fight off virus's so he has to have an infusion once a week to
give him antibodies to help him not get sick. So it’s very important to
wash our hands and stay home when we are sick so we don’t get Alex sick.

Everyone is unique and for Alex his A-T is what makes him special.
