3. Portraits Year 3 Art & Design In this unit of work we will be:
Learning what a portrait painting is
Creating our own self portrait
Creating a portrait of a friend
Using a range of different media to create portraits
Learning about some very famous portrait artists and their work

5. Painting Photograph Sculpture

7. In this lesson you will be creating a self portrait using part of a photograph to help you.

8. We will be first drawing a feint outline of our painting using a pencil and then adding colour using ready-mix paint.
It is really important to try and match the paint colours with the photograph colours.
