6 Lord, You Have Come to the Lakeshore
*Opening Hymn Lord, You Have Come to the Lakeshore Hymnal #344 Used By Permission. CCLI License #

7 Lord, you have come to the Lakeshore, looking neither for wealthy nor wise ones. You only asked me to follow humbly.

8 O Lord, with your eyes you have searched me, and while smiling, have spoken my name.
Now my boats left on the shoreline behind me, By your side, I will seek other seas.

9 You know so well my possessions. My boat carries no gold and no weapons. You will find there, my nets and labor.

10 O Lord, with your eyes you have searched me, and while smiling, have spoken my name.
Now my boats left on the shoreline behind me, By your side, I will seek other seas.

11 You need my hands full of caring, through my labors to give others rest, and constant love that keeps on loving.

12 O Lord, with your eyes you have searched me, and while smiling, have spoken my name.
Now my boats left on the shoreline behind me, By your side, I will seek other seas.

13 You, who have fished other oceans, ever longed for by souls who are waiting, my loving friend, as thus you call me.

14 O Lord, with your eyes you have searched me, and while smiling, have spoken my name.
Now my boats left on the shoreline behind me, By your side, I will seek other seas.

15 *Opening Prayer Olivia Redman As Jesus told us, we shall be fishers of men. Let us cast out our nets and our prayers to you so that they will be yours for that taking. Provide us comfort and peace to preach your holy word and follow your every move. My full trust is in you oh lord, for when I am down you lift me up, from the shadows of darkness you lead me towards the light of day. I will follow you all the days of my life and will remain faithful until you return in glorious tribute.

17 I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard My people cry
I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard My people cry. All who dwell in dark and sin, My hand will save. I who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright. Who will bear My light to them? Whom shall I send?

18 Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord. I have heard You calling in the night
Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord? I have heard You calling in the night. I will go Lord, if You lead me. I will hold Your people in my heart.

19 I, the Lord of snow and rain, I have born my peoples pain
I, the Lord of snow and rain, I have born my peoples pain. I have wept for love of them, They turn away. I will break their hearts of stone, Give them hearts for love alone. I will speak My word to them, Whom shall I send?

20 Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord. I have heard You calling in the night
Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord? I have heard You calling in the night. I will go Lord, if You lead me. I will hold Your people in my heart.

21 I, the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lame
I, the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lame. I will set a feast for them, My hand will save. Finest bread I will provide, Till their hearts be satisfied. I will give My life to them, Whom shall I send?

22 Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord. I have heard You calling in the night
Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord? I have heard You calling in the night. I will go Lord, if You lead me. I will hold Your people in my heart.

31 Scripture Reading Luke 5:1-11, 27-31 5 Once while Jesus was standing beside the lake of Gennesaret, and the crowd was pressing in on him to hear the word of God, 2 he saw two boats there at the shore of the lake; the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets. 3 He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little way from the shore. Then he sat down and taught the crowds from the boat.

32 Scripture Reading 4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch.” 5 Simon answered, “Master, we have worked all night long but have caught nothing. Yet if you say so, I will let down the nets.” 6 When they had done this, they caught so many fish that their nets were beginning to break. 7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both boats, so that they began to sink.

33 Scripture Reading  8 But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Go away from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man!” 9 For he and all who were with him were amazed at the catch of fish that they had taken; 10 and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. Then Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching people.” 11 When they had brought their boats to shore, they left everything and followed him.

34 Scripture Reading  27 After this he went out and saw a tax collector named Levi, sitting at the tax booth; and he said to him, “Follow me.” 28 And he got up, left everything, and followed him. 29 Then Levi gave a great banquet for him in his house; and there was a large crowd of tax collectors and others sitting at the table with them.

35 Scripture Reading 30 The Pharisees and their scribes were complaining to his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” 31 Jesus answered, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick;
