2 1. BETH YDYW? WHAT IS IT? Mae cyfrifoldeb ar bob sefydliad sy’n gweithio gyda phlant ac oedolion i ddiogelu’r plant a’r oedolion hynny. Y ffordd orau o wneud hyn yw sicrhau bod y prosesau mwyaf diogel ar waith o fewn y sefydliad, yn ogystal â diwylliant o ddiogelwch. Y ffordd orau o ddiogelu plant ac oedolion mewn perygl mewn sefydliad yw: cyflogi staff diogel defnyddio prosesau diogel sicrhau bod plant ac oedolion yn deall eu hawliau; ac egluro i rieni a gofalwyr sut i ddiogelu eu plant/oedolion mewn perygl All organisations that work with children and adults at risk have a responsibility to safeguard those children and adults. The best way of doing this is to ensure that the organisation has the safest possible processes and a safety culture. The best way of safeguarding children and adults at risk within an organisation is to: hire safe staff use safe processes ensure children and adults know their rights; and parents and carers are clear about how to safeguard their children/ adults at risk

Mae dyletswydd ar bob sefydliad sy’n gweithio â phlant ac oedolion mewn perygl a’u teuluoedd/gofalwyr i gadw'r plant/oedolion mewn perygl yn ddiogel, felly mae'n bwysig bod y sefydliadau hynny'n sicrhau eu bod yn cyflawni hynny yn y ffordd orau bosib'. Mae nifer o systemau a phrosesau sydd wedi'u profi i fod o gymorth wrth wneud hyn, felly fe all sefydliadau fabwysiadu'r rheini i'w cynorthwyo. Mae’r systemau hyn yn diogelu plant ac oedolion a’r rhai sy’n gweithio gyda nhw. All organisations which work with children and adults at risk and their families/carers have a duty to keep children /adult at risk safe, so it is important for those organisations to ensure that they do this in the best possible way. There are a number of systems and processes which have been shown to assist in this, so organisations can adopt these to assist them. These systems safeguard both children and adults and those who work with them.

This should state what should be done if there are concerns about a child’s / adults safety or welfare

Any changes in children’s/adults behaviour? Continuing induction and training, support and supervision for staff?

7 6. SUT I YMATEB 6. HOW TO RESPOND
Recriwtio a dewis gan ddefnyddio'r holl wiriadau a geirdaon priodol Sefydlu arfer o wyliadwriaeth o ran: Pryderon am blant Pryderon am rieni/gofalwyr Pryder am staff/gwirfoddolwyr Cyfeiriwch unrhyw honiadau sy’n ymwneud â diogelu a cham-drin proffesiynol at yr Uwch-swyddog dynodedig cyn gynted â phosib’ Recruit and select using all the appropriate checks and references Build in a vigilance culture for: Concerns about children Concerns about parents/ carers Concern about staff/ volunteers Refer any allegations of safeguarding concerns and professional abuse to the Senior Nominated Officer as soon as possible.

8 7. GWEITHREDU ACTION A oes gennym ni arferion a phrosesau dyddiol diogel ac a ydym ni wastad yn blaenoriaethu diogelu? A ydym ni wedi sefydlu arferion diogelu lle mae pawb (plant ac oedolion) yn deall y rheolau diogelwch a sut i roi gwybod am bryderon? A allwn ni eu gwella? A allwn ni greu diwylliant sy’n gwrando ar blant/oedolion mewn perygl (ac a allwn ni wneud hyd yn oed mwy)? Have we got safe daily routines and processes and do we always prioritise safeguarding? Have we built a safety culture where everyone (children and adults) know the safety rules and how to report concerns? Can we enhance it? Can we build a culture that actively listens to children/ adults at risk (and can we do even more)
