Euler’s Method of Approximation and Slope Fields
21.0 Students understand the algorithms involved in Simpson’s rule and Newton’s method. They use calculators or computers or both to approximate integrals numerically. Warm Up Mr. Kalis is folding origami swans for a wedding. At noon, Mr. Kalis is folding at a rate of 80 swans per hour. Estimate how many swans Mr. Kalis will have folded by 3pm. It turns out that Mr. Kalis slows down his folding rate as time goes on. At 1:00pm he is folding at a rate of 60 swans per hour. Find a new estimate for how many swans Mr. Kalis will have folded by 3pm. 2/22/2019 ESLR -Tracy High Graduates will be Independent Learners Who Set realistic and challenging goals
