The Three C’s 1. Competence 2. Clarity 3. Communication
Competence- Be fairly good at what you do, and have complimentary skills, or someone will take your place. Clarity- You have to be able to see into the future beyond the current job. You have to be willing to change because sometimes it is not only inevitable, but desirable. Willingness to embrace change, trash things that don’t work, and start over again gives you an edge over your competition. You need to have a vision of where you ought to be going. Communication- You have got to be able to share your knowledge, information, and your vision with other people. It is not easy for most people to translate the ideas in your head into words that can be shared with other people, but it is something that can be improved with practice, and is extremely important for improving communication with others.
