2 Somatic Patients Alcohol Use Survey
A collaboration pilot project between the National Research Centre on Addiction in Moscow and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health Surveillance of Alcohol and Drug Use Among Hospitalized Somatic Patients Project Application has been submitted to the Norwegian Ministry of Health and Care Services via the NDPHS Database and has been approved In August, 2014 a MoU between NRCA and NIPH was signed

3 Somatic Patients Alcohol Use Survey
Specific objectives of mutual interest : •How high is the incidence of problematic alcohol use among hospitalized patients admitted to hospitals in Norway and Russia •Come up with suggestions for a simple approach to reveal problematic alcohol use among acutely admitted patients, and suggestions for intervention programs. The main focus during the second half of 2014 will be to organize meetings and share knowledge on ongoing and planned studies on the topic. Discuss the possibility for joint or parallel studies on the subject.

4 Russia’s Participation in SMART Project
Participation in the First Working Meeting of the SMART Project in Krakow, May, 2014. Translation of the survey questionnaire is now performed and funding opportunities are being looked for. from international sources to carry out the survey in the regions of the Northwet Russia from domestic sources to carry out the survey in Moscow Priority is to take part in the main data collection during March-April, 2015 together with other countries of Europe.

in Countries of the Northern And Eastern Europe 1. Alcohol policy and public attitudes 2. Assessment of alcohol related harm 3. Existing research on alcohol-related harm to others 4. Unrecorded, illicit and non-beverage alcohol consumption. 5. Information on local initiatives or good practices that support national alcohol policy
