Do these examples provide a complete picture of what our society is like? Explain.
What about if it was determined by future generations that:

The building is a temple for worshipping the god.
A statue of the god is inside the temple.
The people of this society had two languages (English and Latin).
How could archaeologists test their guesses? (Books about religious beliefs, pictures identifying Lincoln as a president, not a god) – New evidence changes our ideas about the past.
Practice analyzing artifacts to find information about people, places, and societies, practice observation and reasoning to make inferences and draw conclusions.
