2. The Establish of Han Dynasty
After defeating Xiang Yu, Liu Bang established Han Dynasty in 202 B.C. This dynasty lasted for more than 400 years, and China became one of the strongest countries in the world. It was so important in Chinese history that its name became the name of the people – Han.
During Han Dynasty, a series of systems of administration, choosing talented people into the government, etc. had been established. During the next more than 2000 years, different dynasties used similar system first set up in Han Dynasty.
The population was around 15 – 18 millions at the beginning of Han, but 200 hundred yeas later, the population jumped to more than 57 millions.

4. Lv Queen
Liu Bang had a wife when he was poor, who became the queen who was called Queen Lv. Since she had fought with and accompanied Liu for many years, she had very special status and her son, a kind and quiet boy, became the heir.
Liu Bang had a favorite woman who had a smart boy. Liu Bang thought the heir was too weak and wanted his favorite’s woman’s son to be the new heir. Be opposed by too many people, he gave up. But Queen Lv hated the woman and her boy so much.
After Liu Bang died and the heir became the next emperor, Queen Lv wanted to kill her husband’s favorite woman and her son. Knowing what his mother wanted to do, the new emperor kept his younger brother with him all the time to protect him and they even slept together. Once he got up earlier than his brother and went out for a while, and found his brother dead when he came back. Then Lv Queen tortured her husband’s favorite woman by cutting off her limbs and making her live in a bathroom. When the new emperor saw this, he wept to his mother: “I can’t face myself because my mother is such a cruel person.” He became depressed and indifferent to everything and Lv Queen became the real ruler.
