Current status of ANRA (cont.)
The ANRA staff number makes 43. At present 41 persons are employed at the ANRA. 25 persons out of 41 are the professional staff. At this time the following positions still remain vacant: Head of section for reactor safety. Head of section for radioactive waste. Chief specialist-state inspector on seismic safety. Chief specialist-state inspector on QM & personnel training. Chief specialist-state inspector on ANPP radiation safety.

Competence and Training
The ANRA organizes training of new staff in accordance with the individual programs consisting of theoretical (on the job self-training) and practical trainings (mainly at the ANPP training center). The resources of the IAEA, US NRC and EC cooperation programs are used for separate tasks connected with training, improvement and maintaining of the personnel qualification.

Challenges and Needs It is planned to increase the ANRA staff number till 2016 in average by 5 specialists per year, with the total number up to 25 specialists additionally who will be mainly involved in licensing of new NPP unit.
