Involvement since early development Working groups, Delphi Contributed 10 data points Piloting COSYSMO within E&IS as part of common systems engineering estimation process development Cross-check and Independent Cost Evaluation Cross-LoB bids Potential OG standard SE estimating method and tool Developed Systems Engineering Estimation Workbook, using SystemStar front-ended with a data collection instrument One process, one model, multiple calibrations Collected close to 50 data points from all LoBs across US and UK Continuing data collection effort Piloting Workbook across the US and the UK sites Collaborated with BAE Insyte, UK Pilots and data collection

Divergence in data Different products, different sites, different processes, different legacies Lack of common way of defining work – WBS Your SE is not my SE Your life cycle is not my life cycle “System of interest” is not a common unit of measure; nor is “nominal requirement” English is an ambiguous language I am building an LRU (a.k.a. box).
