4. PROJECT SEARCH ELIGIBILITY
Project Search serves students with significant intellectual and developmental disabilities
The students have an Individual Education Program (IEP) and are in their last year of high school.
The most important criterion for acceptance into Project SEARCH is a desire to achieve competitive employment.

5. Project SEARCH Overview
Collaborative High School Transition Program
On-site classroom accommodates up to 13 students
Site staffed by special education teacher and 1.5 job coaches
Three 10 week internship rotations with support from the job coach, special education teacher and Huntsville Hospital staff
Upon completion of program, each intern receives a Career Portfolio
Successful outcome is competitive employment in an integrated setting for each Project SEARCH intern.
