Bus drivers must inspect their vehicles daily, before starting their route. It’s important to perform the inspections safely to avoid a back injury.

Seat Inspection:
Support the body by holding onto the backrest or leaning onto another seat.
Sit or lie down on the seat to lock them, if needed.

Tire Flap Inspection:
Support the body by placing one hand down on the knee.
Correct
Compartment Inspection:
Avoid bending and twisting at the waist! Remember to squarely face the door and use proper body mechanics to lift all compartment doors.
