Single  could own her own property. Married  no control over her property or her children. Could not initiate divorce. Couldn’t make wills, sign a contract, or bring suit in court without her husband’s permission.

15 Group Work In groups of three, you will examine documents and make a children’s poster that tells the story of how women got the right to vote and whether they were successful or not. Your poster must have: TWO activities that women did to achieve the right to vote The following keywords: Alice Paul, Suffrage, 19th amendment At least ONE image based on the images you have examined or observed in the movie.
