Pixley ka Isaka Seme Born: October 1, 1881, Colony of Natal He was the first African American Lawyer President of the African National Congress.

Southern Christian Leadership Conference
The Southern Christian Leadership Conference is an African-American civil rights organization (SCLC). Closely associated with its first president, Martin Luther King Jr who had a large role in the American Civil Rights Movement Organized nonviolent protests, boycotts, sit-ins, etc. Looked to gain equality through nonviolent means and by working with white citizens to change the racially driven laws.
