Which two systems are working together when the digested nutrients goes into your blood through your small intestine and to all cells in your body?
23
$100 Answer from working together
digestive and circulatory
24
$200 Question from working together
Which two systems are working together to move your body when you are jumping rope?
25
$200 Answer from working together
Muscular, skeletal
26
$300 Question from working together
Which two systems are working together when the kidneys filter waste from the blood?
27
$300 Answer from working together
Excretory system and circulatory system.
28
$400 Question from working together
Which three systems are working together when your body takes in oxygen and delivers it to all cells in the body and gets rid of carbon dioxide?
29
$400 Answer from working together
respiratory system, circulatory system and muscular system or nervous system.
30
$500 Question from working together
Name all of the body systems and explain how they all work together every minute of the day to keep your body alive.
31
$500 Answer from working together
Your nervous system is always controlling everything your body does all the time like breathing (respiratory system) and your heartbeat (circulatory system). Your muscular system is always controlling body movement like moving your arms and legs and moving your diaphragm, muscles of the digestive system, etc. The digestive system is always sending food into the blood. The respiratory system is always bringing in oxygen and getting rid of carbon dioxide. Your skeletal system is always working with your muscular system and nervous system to move your body. The excretory system is always working to filter waste out of the blood.
32
$100 Question from my purpose
The purpose of this system is to break food down into small particles that can be carried in the blood to all parts.
33
$100 Answer from my purpose
Digestive System
34
$200 Question from my purpose
The purpose of this system is to carry food and oxygen to all parts of the body and to remove waste products from all parts of the body.
35
$200 Answer from my purpose
circulatory system
36
$300 Question from my purpose
The purpose of this system is to remove wastes from the body.
37
$300 Answer from my purpose
Excretory system
38
$400 Question from my purpose
What is the purpose of the Skeletal system?
39
$400 Answer from my purpose
The purpose of the skeletal system is to provide support and structure for the body.
40
$500 Question from my purpose
What is the purpose of the respiratory System?
41
$500 Answer from my purpose
The purpose of the respiratory system is to bring oxygen into the blood and to remove waste products (or carbon dioxide) from the blood.
42
$100 Question from misc. This is a part of the digestive system
where mechanical digestion begins. It is the part that first breaks the food up into pieces so it can go down the esophagus.
43
$100 Answer from misc. Teeth
44
$200 Question from misc. Name the type of muscle that makes up the blood vessels in your circulatory system.
45
$200 Answer from misc. Smooth muscles
46
$300 Question from misc. Name the organ in your body
that is made of cardiac muscle.
47
$300 Answer from misc. The heart
48
$400 Question from misc. Name the air sacs that are found in the lungs, or Name the little finger-like projections that are found in the small intestine where food goes into the blood?
49
$400 Answer from misc. The air sacs in the lungs are alveoli.
The finger-like projections in the small intestine are villi.
50
$500 Question from misc. Where does most of the fat, sugar, and protein digestion occur in your digestive system?
51
$500 Answer from misc. The small intestine
52
Final Jeopardy Explain how at least five of your body’s systems work together to help you run around the bases after hitting a baseball.
53
Final Jeopardy Answer When you run your nerves (nervous system) tell your muscles (muscular system) to move your bones (skeletal system) as your activity increases, your brain makes your diaphragm (respiratory System) move faster which brings in more oxygen and gets rid of carbon dioxide. Your heart (circulatory system) also pumps faster to pump the oxygen and food to your cells quicker and to get carbon dioxide to your lungs.
