Sign your child up for book-based programming at your library. Expose your child to different genres of books so he becomes a lifelong reader. Make your very own Gingerbread Girl and hope she doesn’t run away. Early elementary: Join us for a weekly read-aloud of a classic story. Bring your own snack. Upper elementary: Join us for a Lego-extravaganza! Listen to stories and receive a top secret assignment. What will you build? Upper elementary: Create a board game with your friends. Sharpen your spy skills with Notice the Difference Game. Learn the qualities of a graphic novel. Upper elementary: Compete in Diary of a Wimpy Kid Jeopardy, a smell-a-thon contest, and a sound prism rivalry with popular fiction titles.
