July 2001 Statement of Purpose Purpose of the Study Group Define the functional charter of this new group to best address the wireless coexistence issues. Recommend an organization to best accomplish (New WG, Joint TG, TAG, etc) Goal is to have a group that can review and make coexistence recommendations to ExComm on current or proposed IEEE standards in unlicensed bands Similar in concept to FCC OET, which makes recommendations to the commissioners Jim Lansford, Tim Blaney, Mobilian Corporation
