Predictors of negative outcomes in CDI. WBC >20K denotes a peripheral white blood cell count of greater than 20,000 cells/μL on the date of CDI diagnosis. Creat >2.3 denotes a serum creatinine of greater than 2.3 mg/dL (203 μmol/L). The outcomes reported are in hospital death caused by CDI, ICU admission caused or contributed to by CDI, and a combined end point (death, ICU admission, or colectomy).
