Truth is meant to be seen! V. 22 ~ … there is nothing hidden V. 23,24 ~ If anyone has ears to hear … take heed what you hear … Hearing is the ultimate responsibility!

An inward change and working! John 3:8 ~ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit. Confidence is in the power of the word! Eph. 2:10; 1 Cor. 3:6-9; Acts 20:32

The patience that awaits the maturing of God’s message in the heart of hearers. A humility that admits its own inability to produce spiritual life. It is not the sower’s function or responsibility.

A gratitude that we can go cheerfully about our task knowing that the development of the seed is not under our control. A self discipline in the face of temptation to demand immediate results, and visible progress.

A loyal commitment to the gospel as the only means to foster genuine change in the hearts of listeners.

The Word’s Amplification a massive replication Though the kingdom of heaven may begin small, yet it will grow to enormous proportions.

Do we “despair” or trust in God and His word to change people one by one? It may seem that at the moment we can produce only a very small effect; but if that small effect is repeated and repeated it will become very great.
