The possible genotypes for the children are IBi, or ii
The possible genotypes for the children are IBi, or ii. Type B blood has two possible genotypes (IBIB, IBi( and type O blood is recessive with one genotype (i i). If the homozygous genotype for B is crossed with type O, the only possible genotype for the offspring is IB I producing type B blood. If the heterozygous genotype for B is crossed with type O blood, the possible genotypes for the offspring are IBi, or iI; this crossing produces a 50% chance of type B blood and a 50% chance of type O blood.
