1 Waffle House shooting

2 Police continued their intensive search Monday for the 29-year-old suspected of opening fire at a Tennessee Waffle House and killing four people one day earlier. Nashville Police said early Monday that “there have been no credible sightings” of the suspected gunman, Travis Reinking, after an overnight search by local, state and federal law enforcement officers. Authorities say Reinking, wearing nothing but a green jacket, opened fire at the Waffle House restaurant in Antioch, Tenn., a community in Nashville, just before 3:30 a.m. Sunday. He began shooting at customers in the parking lot with an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle. He kept shooting as he walked inside. At one point, he stopped, presumably to reload. That’s when police say a customer, James Shaw Jr., lunged at the gunman, wrestled the weapon away from him and tossed it over the counter. Officials hailed Shaw’s actions, which they said probably saved many people’s lives. His elbow was grazed by a bullet during the shooting and he also burned his right hand grabbing the barrel of the weapon. He was treated at a hospital. 29-year-old Travis Reinking, ran away, and is now one of Tennessee's 10 Most Wanted fugitives. Police think he still has two more weapons on him, so they're urging folks in Antioch to be cautious as authorities search for him. Although his motives are currently unknown, Reinking was arrested last year near the White House for trespassing. He had told the Secret Service he needed to meet with President Trump.

3 In Other News A North Korean source said that Kim Jong Un is committed to the path of denuclearization and wants to focus on improving his nation's economy. South Korea made a gesture of its own ahead of the summit this week between the nation's two leaders. It has shut off the loudspeakers that blast propaganda across the militarized border with the North. There's been yet another terrorist attack in Kabul. The latest violence to hit the country's capital occurred over the weekend, when a suicide bomber detonated explosives at the gate of a voter registration center. Fifty-seven people, including at least five children, were killed and more than 100 others were injured. ISIS claimed responsibility for the carnage; Afghanistan's chief executive vowed that "terrorists won't win against the will of the Afghan people." There have been at least five other major attacks in Kabul this year that have killed nearly 200 people. Kate Middleton is in labor. The Duchess of Cambridge, pregnant with her third child, has been admitted to St. Mary's Hospital in London, Kensington Palace tweeted this morning. The death of superstar DJ Avicii happened on Friday and the actor Verne Troyer -- Mini-Me in the Austin Powers movies -- also died.
