VIBRATIONS WAVES Describe each term as it relates to sound. Trace the path of the vibrations. Do you think we can feel the vibrations? Describe the vibrations in terms of atoms and molecules. How will the amount of air in the glass affect the sound?

Sound Wave Simulator Vibrations in matter begin with particles that make up matter. Sound is a wave motion of many molecules being compressed together until they push away from one another and cause wave movement. They compress with other molecules and transfer sound energy to molecules nearby. The molecules return to their original position. Only the energy continues to move forward.
