2. Plateau
A large, flat, raised area of land

3. Desert
An area that receives less than ten inches of rain in one year.

4. Cliff
A steep face of rock and soil.

5. Valley- A low place between mountains

6. Mountain- A very high landform, often with steep sides

7. River- A large flowing body of water that usually empties into a sea or ocean

8. Bay-Part of a sea or lake that cuts into a coastline

9. Canyon- A deep valley with steep rocky walls.

10. Plain- An area of flat land that often is covered with grass or trees

11. Lake- A large body of water surrounded by land on ALL sides
