Researched potential job opportunities e.g, paper- round, bike shop to help fund my cycling hobby
Contacted David, owner of Croft Organic Farm
Negotiated and agreed price for eggs
Canvassed potential customers in my neighbourhood
……my business began!

3. My Business Plan
Planning my week (around school and my cycling schedule)
Ordering and payment to farmer (numeracy and budgeting skills)
Preparation of eggs (boxing, stickers)
Delivery organisation (best time for customers/myself)

4. After a few weeks...
Spreadsheet (to help make ordering/delivering easier)
Revenue, cost and profit
Worked out most efficient delivery route/delivery times
Created a calling card (customers contacted me when home and I re- delivered eggs)

5. What I have learned...
Finance (improved my overall numeracy skills, managing my money, set up a bank account and made me think about what I need and want)
How to solve problems (holidays)
Made me more responsible (ensure I deliver to customers each week even when my schedule is tight)

Meeting new people and building relationships with new people
Mentoring two friends who have started up their own egg business
