In Utah there has been a 141% increase in suicides from for ages 10-17

Somebodies are not determined by whether they won or lost. Somebodies are people who go for it with all they have. Think about a time when you’ve needed to reach deep down inside.
Praise for effort not talent
90% of students praised for effort wanted the challenging new task versus those who were praised for talent who didn’t want to try new challenges for fear it would expose their flaws
Failure is viewed as a lack of experience and skill rather than an inherent flaw

Help kids learn to cope with failure
Ask them what they learned from it
Never give up
Be supportive as they navigate through the failure, instead of trying to help them feel better
