3. I. Report to European Parliament and Council Comparability – Working day adjustment
Improve comparability / quality checks by transmitting all LCI data (NSA, SA and WDA)
Preference for the indirect approach to produce totals consistent with components

4. Coherence with national accounts figures
National accounts data now available in the LCI database => systematic consistency checks
Large discrepancies and diverging signs when comparing LCI data with national accounts data

5. Changes to the draft report
Update to the analysis of coherence with national accounts figures:
Revised list of countries with coherence issues is CZ, EE, IT, HU, PL, PT, SI + IE, SE
CZ did deliver on time throughout
UK late delivery for 2014Q2 added
Anything else?

6. II. LCI transmissions (2014Q2)
Data deliveries were timely except UK (major delay).
No delivery from EL.
No room yet to improve timeliness of NR in 2015
MS should inform in advance in case of delay
Remember transmitting timely metadata – very helpful for data analysis

7. Working day and seasonal adjustment
Review your models once per year
Revise as far back as necessary
Focus on adjusting single sections
Indirect adjustment preferred when feasible
Consistency is a priority for Eurostat
Future: Earlier checks with SDMX

8. Transmission of NACE aggregates
Very important for quality checks.
Gives indication of "hidden" problems
Countries that do not deliver:
DK, EE, IE, HU, PL, SI, SK

9. 2013 Quality Reports 23 countries delivered by the deadline
3 countries were late
2 countries have not yet delivered

11. New base year in 2015 LCI base year should follow LCS
LCS 2012 available in 2015
-> new LCI base year
All countries shall transmit re-based data for 2015Q1 (due June 2015)

12. LAMAS WG-members are invited to comment on:
the state of play as regards Labour Cost Index transmissions (in particular Greece, United Kingdom, Croatia);
discrepancies in WDA (Czech Republic, Ireland, Greece, Malta) found in LCI totals versus components;
the state of play as regards the transmission of Quality Reports (in particular Greece and Croatia).
