Early man no longer had to search for food. They could now grow what they needed and settle in one place. This marked the beginning of civilizations. Hunters & Gatherers/ Nomads Settled (stay in one place) Farmers

3 Civilization- is a complex (advance), highly organized society.

4 EVERY CIVILIZATION HAS EIGHT FEATURES IN COMMON.

FEATURE EVIDENCE that you live in a civilization Cities Cities were the places where the first civilizations were born. A city is more than just a place with lots of people. The difference between a village and a city is that the city is a center of trade. Ancient cities depended on trade between people who grew more food than they could eat and decided to sell or trade it.
