Updates Card Issue Date - Complete
Issuance of ID cards with “issue date” in October of 2011 Enhancements to drive online registration The ID Card Project is being implemented in two phases. Phase 1 – Add a message to the existing ID card carrier that directs members to register on Anthem.com. - Complete Phase 2 - Adhere a removable sticker to the ID Card that directs members to register on Anthem.com. – In progress Example of Messages: Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Anthem Blue Cross Members Activate your online services at anthem.com/activate* anytime after your coverage begins. *Note: Example only; portal specific language in place

High Dollar Notification - Objectives
Provide timely & consistent data on claims exceeding standard High Dollar thresholds Eliminate delays caused by multiple handoffs Immediate delivery to specified account designees as well as ESR’s Alert generated with final claim liability; not an estimate based on submitted charge Option for Pre Payment with waiting period or notification at time claim is released for payment

Proposed data fields to be included in alert: Group Name/Number Sub Group Number Member Type (Employee, Dependent) Claim Number Total Charge Paid Amount Date Paid (Post Pay Provider Name/Number Start Date of Service End Date of Service Primary/Admitting Diagnosis Case Management Status Claim Type (Interim) Center of Excellence / BlueDistinction *PHI such as member ID or other data cannot be provided. * Other data elements can be explored if required.
